How does BasinCalc work? This tool helps you quickly and easily dimension an infiltration basin. You can work in three ways: DXF polyline Upload a DXF file (ASCII format) of the perimeter of the basin at ground level. The polygon must be closed and may only consist of straight line segments. Then fill in the desired excavation angle and the distances from ground level to fill edge and fill edge to bottom, and click calculate. Rectangle Enter the dimensions of the sides of the basin at ground level. Also fill in the excavation angle, the distance from ground level to fill edge and fill edge to bottom, and click 'calculate'. BasinCalc will then calculate the volume and infiltration surface for you. Requirements The dimensions of an infiltration basin are largely determined by the required buffer volume and infiltration surface. Based on your entered data, BasinCalc estimates the basin dimensions and gives you two options: - Rectangular basin: If you've entered the length of one side, the length of the second side is automatically calculated for you. - Square basin: This is the most compact variant that meets all conditions. If desired, you can generate a PDF report (after calculating). Tips & feedback - Enter realistic requirements.
