Frequently asked questions

Short and honest. If your question isn't here, just mail us: you'll get an answer from whoever built the tool.

Installation and versions

  • On the full version of AutoCAD 2025 or later, on Windows. AutoCAD with the Architecture toolset or from the AEC Collection works too.

  • The paid tools don't: AutoCAD LT doesn't allow .NET add-ons. The free snipbits are LISP routines. SpotBit works in AutoCAD LT 2024 and later; we don't test the other snipbits systematically in LT.

  • Not today. We get that question regularly and log every one; do let us know if it's decisive for your office.

  • Start your trial or subscription, open your account and download the installer. It puts the tools in AutoCAD's plug-in folder. Restart AutoCAD and they load automatically.

  • A licence belongs to one PC. If you work on a second machine or replace your computer, mail us and we'll move it.

Trial and payment

  • Yes, for 14 days, with every feature. Put your suite together and start the trial; stop within those 14 days and you pay nothing.

    Choose your tools
  • Every tool you add unlocks a higher discount: the next one is always cheaper. We automatically calculate the best price for you.

  • Both. A year costs the same as ten months. Monthly plans can be cancelled each month.

  • Prices are excluding VAT. Fill in your company details in your account and they appear on every invoice.

  • In your account. Remove tools and they keep working until the end of your current period. Add tools and you pay the new price right away, with the unused part credited.

Your drawings

  • Yes. What the tools draw are ordinary AutoCAD objects: dimensions, hatches, tables, polylines. Your DWG stays an ordinary DWG.

  • No. Your drawings never leave your PC. Only the licence check briefly talks to our server, using a code for your PC, not your files.

About the tools

  • Per viewport: whether it's locked, on the right layer, at a standard scale, not empty, and fully on the sheet. It runs by itself when you switch layouts, and one click puts everything right.

    PaperSpace Suite
  • StateSync links a layer state to a viewport and tracks which viewports drift from it. You see them highlighted straight away, and Fix All restores them in one go, including colour, linetype and lineweight overrides.

  • Not entirely, and we'd rather say so ourselves. AutoTURN does more. RouteScouter is a quick feasibility check in AutoCAD: does this vehicle make this entrance, yes or no, and what's the swept path. For that job it's just as good and a lot cheaper.

    Read the comparison
  • EgressChecker calculates the shortest escape route and travel distance across your floor plan and shows zones by distance. You set the limits yourself, so you can work to the Belgian basic standards (NBN S21-201) or your own rules.

  • Yes, without an account and without a trial. They're small LISP helpers we use every day ourselves: HatchBit, LevelBit, SlopeBit, BrickBit and SpotBit.
